Paella Shack Walthamstow

Paella Shack, Walthamstow capped our Celebration of Languages held at All Saints Catholic High School in Hackney. They fed nearly 200 people giving them an authentic Valenciano cultural experience. The food was scrumptious and was a great way to end our event. They recreated a market stall, brought their own floodlights and cookers to produce a choice of chicken or vegetarian paella. They were a great hit with everyone and I highly recommend it. Many thanks to the David Buckland Trust for sponsoring the event.

Valencian here and loved it!!. We tried the Arros Negre (black rice paella) and we were incredibly surprise, it was sooooo good and also the quantity is great! We also order croquetas and they were delicious. If you want to try typical paella and feel like you are in Valencia, get an order of one of the paellas they cook, you will be thrilled. Also, with an order of 2 paellas, you get a complimentary tiny cup of chocolate (the size is more than enough) and some churros. A win win! The only sad thing is that the one in elephant and castle is not opened on Sundays and that's the only day you can ask for a Valencian paella with chicken and rabbit.

I didn't go to the Paella Shack restaurant but Xavier made paella for a party I gave. He was nothing short of a miracle. He appeared when he said he would, asked where he should set up his paella pans. I offered him a cup of tea but he only had a glass of water and disappeared into the garden. Two or three hours later, the most sublime paella I have ever eaten appeared by magic, for no fewer than a hundred people. Some guests loved it so much they had three generous helpings! As a host, I could not have felt less stressed and more spoilt. Xavier's professionalism, trustworthiness, reliability, charm, and talents as a chef were faultless. My friends raved about him as if he were the best kept secret in London. One or two had lived in Spain and ranked his paella up there with the very best. Now they all want him at their parties and if ever I give a party again, only Xavier will get the call up. He and his paella are sensational!

Ordered a Senyoret paella for 5 people and it was amazing. Chef very helpful when ordering, looked amazing on arrival and tasted incredible and authentic- better than many I’ve tasted from Valencia. Really good value. Will definitely be ordering many more paellas from Paella Shack.

Paella shack recently catered our work summer party and it was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, plentiful and very authentic.

We chose to work with Paella Shack again this year for a large summer event and once again were so pleased we did. Nothing is too much trouble for them - they were massively helpful, (patient!) and accommodating of various requests (including brilliant allergy management), and on the day they put on a real spectacle. Gorgeous food - people went up for third helpings - and a really friendly, personal service. They’re really good.
